MISSION STATEMENT
Our purpose at Hillcrest Funeral Home is to maintain the
highest level of excellence by operating an institution that values integrity,
honesty, and professionalism; characteristics of quality conductive only of a
major independent family owned funeral home.
Our promise to the community is to remain privately owned.
Consequently, we are more able to respond to the social economic needs of the
families we serve. By staying local and
independent we can continue to provide fair prices and superior service to the
community.
HISTORY
The history of Hillcrest Funeral Home can be traced back to
1932, when the original Salazar Funeral Home began serving the community of El
Paso. Consistent quality of service caused growth in
clientele which allowed Moises Salazar to open a brand new facility, Hillcrest
Funeral Home, in 1984. The new facility combined with historical Salazar
standards of service allowed significant new growth in market share such that
Hillcrest now services over 800 families annually. In early June of 2000,
Hillcrest opened a second funeral home on the West Side
at 5054 Doniphan.
